Kellie Martin is an American film, television and stage performer. Her most notable role is Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) as well as Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". In addition, she is famous for her role as the lead in the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin was born to a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, started her career in acting when she was seven, when her aunt who worked as an nanny for Michael Landon's children helped Martin to get her a character in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". After graduating of Yale University she began to become serious about acting, landing roles on both the small screen and big. Martin as well as being an excellent actor and dancer, she is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Since she is a mother of two kids, she's been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about this disease ever since her younger sister died due to the disease at 19.
